Good Times Ahead Debut ‘Waffle House’ with Flosstradamus
Good Times Ahead join forces with Flosstradamus for Waffle House’, the second single off their forthcoming Good Times Bad Times At Hard Summer on HARD Recs.
‘Waffle House’ follows Good Times Ahead’s special edition HARD Summer set, an entirely original two-hour journey through the legacy act’s vast discography. HARD was one of the first brands to scout out the fledgling Good Times Ahead at the beginning of their career, and their set at HARD summer, along with their upcoming HARD Recs release, commemorates the longstanding relationship between these two powerhouses. The robust performance featured an array of Good Times Bad Times at Hard Summer track debuts alongside some of the outfit’s most prized classics. It enjoyed plenty of cameos from past and present collaborators as well, including Dillon Francis, Wuki, 4B, Black Caviar, What So Not, and of course, Flosstradamus for ‘Waffle House’s’ premiere.
Likewise, the Good Times Bad Times at Hard Summer mixtape features a full slate of fresh new music in the form of collaborations with fellow HARD all-stars, remixes of some of their favorite tunes, and even new singles from other artists they work closely with.
‘Waffle House’ continues the house motif heard in ‘Milky Cabrera’—the inaugural single off Good Times Bad Times at Hard Summer written alongside Diplo. The track is a hard-hitting composition, lifting feet off the ground with gritty arrangement and bold vocals. It’s an amalgamation of the high impact sound Flosstradamus is known for, combined with Good Time Ahead’s penchant for adventurous, out-of-the-box sound design. Good Times Bad Times at Hard Summer and Good Times Ahead’s HARD Summer set coincide with the launch of their very own label, Good Times / Bad Times Records, which they’ve opened through Insomniac Music Group. The label will serve as a platform that gives Good Times Ahead full creative control over their own direction while additionally allowing them to showcase and cultivate the careers of their favorite up-and-coming talents. Expect the duo to continue flourishing as they helm their own imprint and expand their reach far beyond the confines of electronic music.
